I thought when I first started entering Internet comps that it would be a great way of winning prizes without having to pay for postage stamps! However I'd hardly won anything and had begun to go back to postcard entries when I got a phone call to say I'd won one of the five Daz Garden parties from an Internet only entry! It was a comp that was running alongside the television adverts for Daz washing powder with Michelle Collins from Eastenders in, and she would be coming to the party as well!
The organisers came one Friday in September and decorated our back garden, providing all that was needed to entertain 30 guests. They took over my kitchen and waitresses served delicious finger foods. There was a barman serving cocktails and drinks while a four piece string quartet played music to entertain our guests. We even had a doorman letting in the guests!
And as a surprise, a lookalike Queen turned up with Michelle Collins as well. Michelle stayed for about an hour and half and was a pleasure to talk too. This is another one of those prizes that money can't buy! At the end of the party the organisers swiftly cleared it all away. I didn't have to lift a finger - what a party to have!
My goal is to win a car, so I'd better get back to the computer and get searching for car comps!

I just had to write and tell you about the fabulous prize I have just won. I won the celebrity A list weekend with John Frieda and Cosmopolitan magazine.
My sister Deb and I were whisked to London on the train 1st Class. A chauffeur met us and took us to the Haymarket Hotel where we stayed in a 5* suite with dressing room and plasma TV over the bath in both bathrooms!
The next stop was John Frieda in Mayfair. Nicola Clarke coloured my hair and Andreas cut it. I was made to feel like a VIP. Back at the hotel, John Frieda had sent a huge bag of hair products for me to take home.

Like probably many other Compers, I enter competitions and then forget about them – I don’t very often do the text message comps because of the cost but with a car as the prize I thought it worth a go.

I managed not to scream down the phone – partly because I was in shock and partly because I was in my office at work! I immediately phoned Pete and he was very impressed. Just thought I would drop you another line, after letting you know last month about my Xfactor, christmas videos & Paul Mitchell wins I have had another great win! On the 17th of December I received a very surprising phone call telling me I had won family tickets to Santa's Winter Wonderland at the Snowdome in Tamworth.
